Operations Manager - Leased & Tenanted (South West)

We’re looking for a people focused and guest obsessed Operations Manager to join our team, overseeing our Tenancy, Leased & Profit Share pubs across the UK. Working closely with senior colleagues in People, Food, Finance, Marketing, & Design, the Operations Manager will be responsible for leading a team to ensure the continued transformation & success of this estate.

Key Attributes & Responsibilities:

  • Extensive prior Operations experience in Franchise/Retail Partnerships and the Leased & Tenanted pub sector
  • A proven track record of success as an Operations Manager or Senior Area Operations Manager, demonstrating an impressive upward career trajectory
  • A detailed understanding of labour planning, health and safety, people leadership and best in class operations delivery, with the ability to lead strategically through others but also roll up sleeves and deep dive, whenever necessary
  • High levels of commercial acumen; a proven outstanding operational leader – a strategic mindset, with the ability to lead from the front, whilst also developing a high performing team
  • Experience of leading through change, with an ability to lead extensive capex programs, whilst managing, improving and optimising operational values across the existing estate
  • From a L&T, Retail Partnerships background, the chosen individual is likely to have extensive experience that values quality guest experience.
  • Experience of having led change in a fast paced, guest centric, multi-site environment, winning the hearts and minds of those around them, whilst taking them on a positive journey and living the cultural values of Marston’s
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex messages and distil into clear vision
  • Significant experience of utilising technology to improve operational efficiency, with a detailed understanding of data driven decision making, financial management and driving commercial performance to achieve and exceed financial target
