We're looking for a General Manager for a stunning community pub in a prominent location in Newmarket. Salary up to £47,000 (+£7,500 live out allowance) plus bonus and a generous benefits package.

About the pub
The White Hart in Newmarket is a thriving community pub ideally situated on the Newmarket High Street, surrounded by shops and other hospitality businesses driving the footfall. Currently split at around 80/20 in favour of wet, hotel sales account for around 30% of the overall business. Weekly sales average at around £30,000 net.
It functions via a main bar area, with mixed seating for drinkers and diners and one long bar going through the majority of the pub. There is an external patio area on the side of the business with 2 sections 1 covered.
The White Hart also benefits from a function room with the capacity of 150 guests standing, 70 guests seated. There are a number of local clubs and businesses that use the function room for meetings but there is bags of potential to develop the function side of the business.
There are 18 hotel rooms above the business so an operator with rooms experience is preferable.
The pub has a consistent and loyal regular drinking trade, along with being the no.1 destination for race goers currently. There is a good level of live entertainment which is organised well around race days.
The White Hart benefits from Sky and TNT sports which also pulls in a regular crowd.
The pub has a strong Deputy Manager, Supervisor, Head Chef, and Housekeeper in situ with a lot of experience throughout the team, ready for an experienced GM to hit the ground running.
