JW Lees has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join the Stanneylands Hotel in Wilmslow, Cheshire. We’re going further to brew great times. Want to be part of it?

As an Operations Manager you’ll get the chance to shine, contribute to our success each and every day and our team will give you their full support to help you to rise to the top.

Leading by example, your work ethic will set the bar high and you’ll be as interesting and exciting as our award-winning ales.  Ideally a professional in your field or one in the making, you’ll remain super cool under pressure and have a passion for setting and delivering outstanding and memorable customer experiences.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Takes responsibility for guest and staff satisfaction, by directing the Conference and Banqueting, Restaurant & Bars, Housekeeping and Nights Teams to ensure the smooth running of these departments alongside the Departmental Managers.
  • To provide Senior Management cover to ensure high standards of hosting and delivery are maintained.
  • To deputise for the General Manger and to be ‘on call’ in their absence.
  • To seek opportunities to improve the guest experience through feedback, evaluate service levels and developing strategies to improve areas of concern.
  • To conduct daily meetings in the absence of the General Manager to discuss events, special requests allocation of staff and product development.  
  • Determines appropriate staffing levels on a daily and weekly basis to maintain a balance between customer demands, profitability and employee preferences.
  • To ensure all Health, Safety and Hygiene statutory requirements are adhered to. 
  • Ensure all legislative and company fire, health, hygiene, safety & security guidelines are adhered to in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Assists Managers who report to you, to train, developed, motivate, coach, evaluate and manage the performance of all staff in their relevant departments.
  • Leads by example, motivates managers and employees to anticipate guests needs & deliver service in a way that makes people feel special.
